Prefer to give charity? Here are trusted places
Charity is one of the most beautiful things a person can do. If your heart is set on giving charity, we praise you for it, and we would love to help you find a good place to give. Below are trusted charities that help people in need, in Sudan and all over the world, each with its official website and a link to check its registration yourself.
"The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of God is like a seed that grows seven ears, and in every ear a hundred seeds. And God multiplies for whom He wills, and God is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing."
Qur'an 2:261 (Arabic text: Tanzil, verbatim). The English is a meaning, not a word-for-word translation. In every faith, and for people of none, giving to someone in need is honoured: a single seed of kindness that grows far beyond itself.
Who we are, in one line
Gifts to Sudan is a small volunteer initiative with one focus: gifts (hadiyah) of food and household goods, handed to families in Sudan. That is the path we have chosen. Charity is another good path, and this page is here to help you walk it. If you would also like to give a gift, this is why we chose gifts.
We are not affiliated with these organisations and receive nothing from them; please check them yourself. No link on this page is an affiliate link or carries tracking.
Checked 1 Nov 2026. 16 organisations, each one checked that day: its official website opened, and we found it on an official register or a recognised rating site.

Is your giving zakat?
Zakat has its own rules on who may receive it. Our sister project Mustahaqat lists official zakat bodies by country: Where to pay your zakat (Mustahaqat). Please ask a scholar you trust about your own zakat.
How we checked
- We opened each official link on 1 November 2026.
- We found each organisation on an official source: the UK Charity Commission's register of charities, US tax-exempt (IRS) data shown on Charity Navigator or ProPublica's Nonprofit Explorer, or the United Nations' own lists.
- We list only what we could check ourselves that day, so some good organisations are missing. Know a trusted one? Tell us at info@giftstosudan.org.
- Registers and websites change. Before you give, open the "Check it" link and make sure you are on the official website (beware of look-alike pages and of anyone asking for money by private message).
May every good thing you give return to you many times over.
